DW Sports, Blackpool

The development of both the new DW Sports & Leisure clubs in Blackpool and Milton Keynes were carried out in partnership with AIRCON Mechanical based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford , Ireland.

Our sister company (Controlled Air Solutions), specified by Mechanical Consultant Hannan Associates, had vast experience of installing the new DW Sports concept having previously installed 25 of the former JJB Sports & Leisure Club’s throughout the country.

Sanyo Air Conditioning were the preferred supplier and 8 No Sanyo VRF 2 pipe systems were installed to the Gym, Aerobic Studios, Changing Rooms, Lounge, Managerial Offices and Retail Areas.

Hotel Missoni, Edinburgh

The luxury Hotel Missoni, situated on Edinburgh’s Regal Royal Mile, is one of the worlds great fashion houses. Part of The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s fastest growing hotel groups.

Our sister company (Controlled Air Solutions) got involved with the project at the early design stages and worked closely with Balfour Beatty Engineering Services at their Livingstone office.

The project was to supply and install comfort cooling using specified manufacturers Daikin 3 pipe VRV heat recovery systems to all of the Hotel Bedrooms / Suites, Function Suites, Bar and Restaurant, back of house area’s.

Full interface was achieved of the Bedroom Cooling / Heating via an interface of the hotels vin card system and the Hotel’s BMS System.

Additionally, the hotels roof mounted air handling units were supplied by Daikin 2 pipe VRV condensing units which were used to meet the required DX Cooling requirements.

All areas were completed on time and on budget.

The value of the project was £380,000.00.
